WEST WARWICK — The members of the Station Fire Memorial Foundation have some new people backing their cause.
And, according to members of the board, it is the first time in seven years that this group has ever made contact with the group to offer their support.

The new advocate for the group is the town of West Warwick. Dave Kane, the director of the Station Fire Memorial Foundation, said the town of West Warwick under the direction of Town Manager James Thomas has offered to assist the Station Fire Memorial Foundation with the fundraising needed to complete the Station Memorial Park.

He said the town has offered the services of Luke Peterson, the town manager’s assistant, who is also a professional grant writer.
